I love my Kindle 2 and I love the M-edge Prodigy Hinge Jacket in Pebbled Mocha with Saddle. I was concerned about carrying the Kindle around without a protective cover. After reading the reviews, I selected this cover and am very pleased with it. The jacket is well-made, nicely padded without being bulky, and fits well in my purse or briefcase. The leather feels nice and the stitching is well-done. Although the package did not include directions for fastening the Kindle onto the clips, a quick look at the M-edge website gave me simple instructions. Between the clips and the small straps on the upper and lower right sides of the cover, my Kindle fits very securely in the cover. Now, I don't leave home without it! And I am eagerly awaiting the M-edge book light that will fit inside the cover and make it easy to read on planes, etc. A fabulous product that I recommend without hesitation.

I just got my Kindle2 a few days ago, and ordered with it this cover. It's well made, the latches to secure the Kindle2 hold it securely in the cover, and the leather tongue fits snugly into it's pocket to both hold it closed and to hold it open when the cover is folded behind for my ease of reading.
I highly recommend this cover. For me, it's well worth the price and appears as though it will provide more than adequate protection for my new Kindle2.

I love my Kindle 2, and I love it even better with my new gorgeous leather cover. Another reviewer commented on the inaccurate color in the main picture, which does make it look like the cover is cordovan. The color is really a mocha color, and if you search for other M-edge covers, you can find the same cover (pebbled mocha/saddle) for the Kindle 1 and that color is accurate. Also, the picture with the stack of Kindle covers is also accurate.
I love the contrasting colors (mocha/saddle). I am a little traditional about leather colors, and I love both of the colors. The leather quality is rich, and the cover is very well-made. I love that the clips are integrated into the kindle, but that there are 2 additional corner straps so that the clips don't fatigue and break the Kindle case (which I read happens with the Kindle/Amazon brand cover for the Kindle 2 which only clips into the left side of the Kindle 2). My Kindle is very secure in the cover, and feels safe from harm.
The slot for the securing strap is a little tight, as mentioned by another reviewer, but I think it will get easier with time.
It took a few weeks for M-edge to make and ship the cover, but it was worth the wait.
I am very pleased with my purchase!

I bought this recently, it just arrived. It is a functional, well-designed case, but either Amazon put the wrong image with the product, or they had some VERY bright lights aimed on it. Mine is a muddy brown where the red should be, with a lighter tan, the color of most leather items, where the orange strap should be. Both the label on it and the paper that came with it claim it is this case, "Pebbled Mocha w/ Saddle Strap", so I was not shipped the wrong one. Don't get me wrong, the case is sturdy, snug and well-built, but it doesn't look anything like it should.

Just received this cover today (in purple, but same model), about 3 weeks after ordering from Amazon. Granted, it was ordered before the product was even complete so I was ok with the wait. It is very similar in look and feel to a Dooney and Bourke pocketbook if you are familiar with them. It has a great leather smell, just like a new purse. And the additional room on the binder side (meant for the e-Luminator light - sold separately) gives you a nice place to hold the cover with the Kindle attached.
I love the hinge system, one of the main reasons I bought it. Coming from the K1, the original case Amazon provided was functional but the Kindle always fell out. So when Amazon improved the hinge for the K2, I knew I would only buy a case that had that feature. One word of note, I initially did not "lock" the K2 in the new m-edge case correctly and it almost fell out when I shook it (over a sofa) to test the support. Luckily the two straps on the top right and bottom right held it from falling. Then I discovered I had not closed the hinge enough and made sure the top hinge was securely pushed upwards to "lock it". Installation instructions are not included with the case (weird) but are available from m-edge online. Amazon won't let me post the url, but if you go to the buymedge website you can view the installation intructions.
The look and feel of the case is very professional. I am very happy with this purchase and do not expect to be taking the Kindle out of it very often. The only little issue I have is that the tab is a bit too snug when it needs to be slid into the cover to close. A snap might have been a bit easier. Still not enough of a con to drop the rating. But the tab does tuck away easily so as not to interfere while reading, which is nice.
