I have had this cover for my Kindle 2 for about 2 months now and I love it. It's very durable, folds back easily on itself and feels nice to hold in my hand. I can't wait for the light to come out, so I can fit it right in, but even without the light I really enjoy this cover. The only bad thing about it, is the fabric used on the inside, although it is soft, it feels like it could get pretty grubby over time. Mine isn't bad yet, but even after only two months I can tell that it will probably be pretty bad down the road.

I have the Amazon Kindle2 cover and I am pleased with it, but I was interested in purchasing an additional jacket cover that could be closed. So I was pleased to find this intelligently designed, not too expensive, closable cover.
This M-edge cover is about the same size as your average hardcover book. The cover is well padded on both the interior and exterior surfaces. The hinge system works well to secure the Kindle2, and there is the added protection of two corner restraining straps.
This cover is about an inch wider than the Amazon Kindle2 cover, so the Kindle2 sits well inside the cover edges. The cover strap slides securely into a corresponding pocket on the opposite cover.
The front cover freely folds back out of the way for comfortable reading. There is ample space for the various types of e-reader booklights. The Mighty Bright light fits just fine.
This item looks to be well made with attractive detail stitching and the
M-edge trademark placed unobtrusively on the back of the cover.
This is a good looking, utilitarian cover that should protect your Kindle2.

I bought this cover because I had the similar model for the K1. I love that my K2 fits securely in the slots and it is easy to hold while reading. It is a very attactive and functional cover. Even though it is synthetic leather it feels enough like the real thing that you won't even notice. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a stylish but useful cover.

The "M-edge Prodigy Jacket" is a well made and good looking protective cover for the Kindle 2. Here are my observations:
Pros:
* The synthetic Leather is good looking and not "Pleatherish" at all
* The restraining strap on the cover works well
* Installing the Kindle 2 is quick and easy (see "Comments" for a link to the instructions on the M-Edge web page)
* Removing the Kindle 2 is also quick and easy
* Cover front folds back for one hand use (but see "Cons", below)
* Inside cover has pockets for business cards, etc
* All connectors and buttons are accessible
Cons:
* There is a lot of space between the Kindle 2 and the spine of the cover. I suspect this is to accommodate the M-Edge e-Luminator book light, shown in the picture, but NOT included. This extra space makes it a little harder for one hand use for those with small hands (not a problem for me).
Overall, this is good investment to protect your Kindle 2.
