I really like this cover for my Kindle. It's not much bigger than a thin paperback. It fits in my handbag, keeps the Kindle protected, and is inexpensive. I would recommend this cover to anyone with a Kindle.

Three weeks after placing the order, it still had not arrived. When I attempted to cancel the order, I was unable to. The product finally arrived after one month of ordering it. Overall, the product is average. Since purchase, the strap has gotten loose and doesn't really keep the Kindle secure. I guess that has alot to do with the fact that leather stretches.

When I ordered this product, I expected to wait 6 weeks to ship; however, it arrived in a little over 2 weeks. What a pleasant surprise!
The Hinge Jacket arrives in fairly minimal packaging, adequate to protect the product, but not wasteful. The instructions to insert and remove the Kindle from the jacket are straightforward and clear.
This Jacket provides excellent protection for the Kindle 2, while being comfortable to use: it's rigid where it contacts the device, but its spine is soft and flexible for comfort. The strap keep the cover securely closed in my pack, and the right-side elastic corners hold the Kindle firmly to the back of the jacket - this case won't crack your Kindle like the Amazon case might.
A soft spine allows the jacket to fold over for comfortable one-handed reading, and there is space between the device and the spine for the forthcoming M-Edge reading light. While I found this space made operating the Kindle with my left hand more comfortable, this might be a challenge for those with tiny hands. Fortunately, the Kindle aligns nearly flush with the right-hand side of the jacket - if you have small hands, one-handed reading is best done with your right hand.
The only real criticism I have is that the closure strap is a little bit fussy at first. I had some irritation getting it properly secured, and a little bit more getting it to fold out of the way when reading. Spending a bit over a week with it, though, and the material relaxes - I no longer have this issue.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

I purchased my cover and received it in about a week and a half--faster than the estimated 3 weeks, which was a nice bonus. I was pleased with the overall construction, and I was especially glad with how well my Kindle fit inside. It locks in and stays in, with no give and no slippage. It's also well padded and solid enough to give my Kindle the complete protection I was hoping for, as well as the extra heft I wanted; after weeks of gingerly handling my reader while standing on a crowded subway train, I was glad to be able to now have a good, firm grip on it.
My primary quibble with the cover was with the strap--I wasn't sure what to do with it at first, but once I bent it backwards and slipped it in its slot, all was well. Getting the cover to bend back the way I wanted was also a problem at first, but after two days, my cover is properly broken in and bends the way I want it to.

The "M-edge Prodigy Jacket" is a well made and good looking protective cover for the Kindle 2. Here are my observations:
Pros:
* The synthetic Leather is good looking and not "Pleatherish" at all
* The restraining strap on the cover works well
* Installing the Kindle 2 is quick and easy (see "Comments" for a link to the instructions on the M-Edge web page)
* Removing the Kindle 2 is also quick and easy
* Cover front folds back for one hand use (but see "Cons", below)
* Inside cover has pockets for business cards, etc
* All connectors and buttons are accessible
Cons:
* There is a lot of space between the Kindle 2 and the spine of the cover. I suspect this is to accommodate the M-Edge e-Luminator book light, shown in the picture, but NOT included. This extra space makes it a little harder for one hand use for those with small hands (not a problem for me).
Overall, this is good investment to protect your Kindle 2.
