My wife bought me a Kindle 2 for our anniversary. We purchased this case to protect it. The construction is great and this cover protects the Kindle very well. The two issues are the Kindle doesn't stay in the case, you have to pull it out to use it and it seems a bit pricy for what you get. All in all it's not a bad case. I'm pleased with it.

This case is perfect for the new kindle 2. It fits snugly around the device and offers adequate cushioning for protection from the occassional mishap. I put my kindle in it and throw it in my bag and have had no problems whatsoever. Why spend more on similar items that do the same thing?
